He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lewis Claude and Nettie McManus Godfrey; his stepson David Troutman (Mary) of Albemarle; his sister Jocelyn Pope of Concord; and his sister-in-law Frances Godfrey of Kannapolis. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the charity of the donor's choices.
