She was predeceased by: her parents, Bainer Marsh Simpson and Leona Frances Helms Simpson. She is survived by: her mother-in-law Louise Helms; her brothers, Billy Marsh Simpson, Kenneth O'Neil Simpson and B. Charles Simpson; her child Terry Michael Gearing of Kannapolis; and her siblings, Robert Simpson (Sandra) of Kannapolis, Gaynell Crainshaw of Kannapolis and Margaret Blackwelder (Dennis) of Kannapolis.
