He was predeceased by: his parents, Hearne F. Rickard and Ava Cook Rickard; and his brother Carl Arnold Rickard. He is survived by: his wife Danita Brigman Rickard; his children, Amy Rickard of Chapel Hill and Alex Rickard (Mari Rickard) of Fuquay-Varina; his granddaughters, Liana and Kiersten; and his nephew Casey Rickard of Kannapolis.
