She was predeceased by: her parents, William Albert Lambert and Sarah Honeycutt Lambert; her husband Clifford Eugene "Gene" Hampton; and her siblings, Cecil Lambert, Ruth Morgan and Jewell Chapman.
She is survived by: her children, Barry Hampton of Kannapolis, Robert Hampton (Katherine) of Harrisburg, Beverly Blackwelder (Eric) of Kannapolis, Barbara Gardner (Baxter) of Salisbury and Lisa Cobb (Greg) of Salisbury. She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, eight Great Grandchildren, and two Great-Great Grandchildren.
