It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gwendolyn Pittman in Kannapolis, North Carolina, born in Enfield, North Carolina, who passed away on October 22, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cary Pittman Jr. and Margaret Drake. She is survived by: her daughter Beth Lopez; her son-in-law Luis Lopez; her grandchildren, Ruben Lopez and Laura Lopez; and her siblings, Gloria Brown of Mechanicsville, VA, Cary Pittman Jr. of Delaware, Ronald C. Pittman of Richmond, VA and Anthony Pittman of Willingboro, NJ. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to any of the Sickle Cell Disease Associations in the United State.
