It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertie Wilkerson of Kannapolis, North Carolina, who passed away on October 12, 2020, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Everette S. Carter and Gracie Cline Carter; and her children, James D. Wilkerson (Karen) of Salisbury and Julia W. Hicks (Jim) of Concord. She was also cherished by 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
