He is survived by: his wife Hilda Sides Messer; his children, Laura Spears (Mark) and Mitch Messer; his brother-in-law Bobby Sides (Frances); his grandchildren, Andrew Conway (Kristen), Leah Tonissen (Drew), John David Conway (Hillary), Samantha Messer and William Messer; and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Holden, Hannah Conway, Turner Messer, Kate and Elise Tonissen.
