He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Perry Hunter and Nettie Mae McIntyre Hunter; his wife Eva Sheets Hunter; his daughter Janet Hunter Dixon (Joe); and his brothers, Timmond and Jerry Hunter.
He is survived by: his son Bobby Eugene Hunter (Regina) of Kannapolis; his brother Henry Hunter (Barbara) of Kannapolis; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Hunter of Kings Mountain, Jerret Dixon and Jessica Preston (William); and his great grandchild Alyssa Preston of Kannapolis.
