He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Denise Griffin Smith; his son Jason Smith; his sister Doris Smith of Charlotte; his sisters-in-law, Felicia Ann Hayes (Michael Wayne), Pamela Yvonne Mann (Steven Alan) and Amanda Michelle Taylor (James Francis); his nieces, Heather Mann Enloe (Matthew Scott) and Brittany Michelle Taylor; his nephew Dillon Alan Mann; and his great-nephews, Aiden Alexander James Root, Chase Parker Enloe and Greyson Wade Enloe.
