In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Ethel leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Ethel may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Cox and Ollie Gales Cox; her former husband J. C. Brooks; and her daughter Carol Reid. She is survived by: her daughters, Julie McCarn and Kay Goble; and her sister-in-law Hazel Cox. She is also survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
