He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Arlene, Dayton Strickland, Rushie and Elbert Long. He is survived by: his parents, Beulah Strickland Fink and Eldred Long; his siblings, Penny Purser (Randy), Aaron Fink (Joye) and Claudia Purser (Josh); his aunts, Sibbie, Mary Jo and Faye; and also, Gene Beaver and Roger Bostic. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations to Resurrection Baptist Church, 5615 Old Salisbury-Concord Rd, Kannapolis, NC 28083, for a parking lot in honor of Grady.
