He is survived by: his wife Betty Goodson Chance; his children, Edgar Christopher Chance (Starr) of Wilmington, Brian Keith Chance of Salisbury, Kenneth Dale Chance of Salisbury, Wendy Koffer and Britney Demby; his adoptive father Gerardo (Aure Venezuela); his siblings, Doris Givens (Fred) of Yadkinville, Edward Chance (Linda) of Phoenix, AZ, Stoney Chance (Diane) of Garner, Danny Chance (Kathy) of Benson and Shelton Chance (Carolyn) of Enfield, CT; his grandchildren, Christopher Ryan Chance, Clay, Colby Poole, Sydnie Chance, Shawn Chance, Jessica, Amber and Katlin Pantle; and his great grandchildren, Baylor Wade Poole, Jaden and Landon Logan.
