He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob William Correll and Fannie Maude McCombs Correll; his wife Mary Frances Overcash Correll; and his brother Jacob William Correll, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Cindy Leggett of Beaufort, SC, Tara Rhoades of China Grove, Kelly Correll (Mary Margaret "Mimi") of Kannapolis and Gene Correll (Melody) of Kannapolis; his grandchildren, John J. Leggett (Leah), Heath Leggett (Christin), Earl Correll, III (Lesley), Maggie Weinberg (Brian), Ashlee Rhoades (Jolie), Art Rhoades, Magen Anderson (Andy) and Ryan Correll (Nicole); and his sons-in-law, John Leggett and Buddy Rhoades. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
