With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dottie Neal of Kannapolis, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 9, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Dottie departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Dottie. Though Dottie may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Kirby Watson Sr. and Viola Oliver Watson; her husband Max D. Neal; and her son Jeffery W. Neal. She is survived by: her daughter Kathy Jayne Craven (Mark) of Kannapolis; her grandchildren, Shannon Craven (Melissa) and Sam Craven (Devyn); and her great grandchildren, Laylee Craven and Max Craven.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at the Carolina Memorial Park (601 Mt Olivet Rd, Concord, NC 28025).
