With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Barnette of Kannapolis, North Carolina, who passed away on December 25, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy James Lowe and Bertha Robinson Lowe; her husband Herman Mancel Barnette; and her sisters, Hazel Thacker and Brenda Johnson.
She is survived by: her sons, Ronald Barnette (Diane) and Jimmy Barnette; her grandchildren, Jennifer Overcash (Darrin), Brent Barnette (Lisa) and Leah Barnette; her great grandchildren, Logan Overcash and Josh Barnette; and her sisters, Mary Lou Towery, Margaret Gaither, Betty Jo White, Barbara Eldreth and Tilda Mahaffey.
