She was predeceased by: her father Preston Young. She is survived by: her husband Walter Percy Smith; and her children, Sabrina S. Butler (Charles) of Kannapolis, NC, Edward Smith of Kannapolis, NC and Michael A. Smith of Myrtle Beach, SC. She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
