She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby Pearl Hanley Lunsford of Kannapolis and Lewis Barton Lunsford; her husband Clyde Mitchell Benfield; her daughter Phyllis Benfield Brosh; and her brothers, Bill Lunsford and Wayne Lunsford.
She is survived by: her children, Guy Benfield of Enochville and Cathy Matthews (Ron) of China Grove; her grandson Mark Lefler of China Grove; her sister Joyce Bonds of Kannapolis; her great grandchildren, Taylor Lefler of China Grove, Lexi Lefler and Sonny Lefler of Florida; her aunt Joyce Bonds; and also, Hilda Gobble, Elaine, Susan Corriher, Elvis and Allyson Coleman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Due to Covid, the family requests masks and social distancing when possible.
