He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Ray and Mildred Irene Heglar (Walton). He is survived by: his wife Frances Heglar (Mills); his daughters, Tamara Gentle (Tim) of Mt. Pleasant, Donna Walls (Ray) of Kannapolis and Debbie Efird (Darrell) of China Grove; his grandchildren, Justin Wyatt (Alisha), Jessika Helms (Daniel), Brittany Rogers (Adam), Macy Overcash (Brian), Michael Walls, Amanda Williams and Josiah Efird (Maggie); his great grandchildren, Braylee, Laci, Tensley, Phillip, Brayden, Landon, Lawson, Milli, Addison and Molli; his sister Janette Bame Dixon (Bob); and his pet Fuzzy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary, 220 Grace Church Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147, or to the charity of one's choice.
