She was predeceased by: her husband James "Kenny" Barnhardt, III. She is survived by: her mother Merle Fortson Upright; her stepfather Calvin Upright of Kannapolis; her sisters, Pam King of Kannapolis and Starr Hinson of Kannapolis; and her grandchildren, Emily and Calvin Barnhardt.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to First Evangical Methodist Church, 301 Prince Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
