She was predeceased by: her parents, Joann Grant Morgan and Frankie Morgan; and her husband David Smith. She is survived by: her children, Betsy S. Kaiser (Daryl) of Concord and Stephen Smith (Julia) of Kannapolis; her siblings, Angela "Angie" Morgan of Wilmington and Frankie "Doodle" Morgan Jr. (Mary) of Wilmington; and her grandchildren, Evan Kaiser, Emelyn Kaiser, Turner Smith, Ethan Kaiser, Cat and Millie.
