He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Irvin Self; and his children, Madeline Self and Joshua Self. He is survived by: his father Darrel Lynn Self of Florida; his wife Angela Short Self; his children, Angela Brooke Irvin (Philip) of Concord, Kendal Wellington Self of Concord, Caleb Addison Self and Jaxon Alexander Self; his siblings, Sharla Gattie (Richard) of Florida and Cory W. Self (Heidi) of Tennessee; his granddaughters, Abby and Nora Irvin; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Short Moose, Michael Short and Dean Short. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews, and great-grandnieces/nephews.
