He was predeceased by: his parents, Cloyd Hugh Godfrey, II and Edelweiss Jones Godfrey; and his sisters, Helen Mary Schlegel and Betty Lou Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Donna Weaver Godfrey; his sons, Cloyd Godfrey, IV of Sherrills Ford, Brian Godfrey of Midland and Chris Godfrey of Harrisburg; his stepchildren, Melinda Page of Concord, Teresa Morgan of Concord and Robert Dorton of China Grove; and his sister Dorothy Ann Bolyard of West Virginia. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
