He is survived by: his mother Bettie Hartsoe Harper; his son Robert William Milstead (Andrea) of China Grove; his grandsons, James of China Grove and Michael Milstead of China Grove; his stepfather Thurman Perry of Kannapolis; and his stepsiblings, Cathy Bauer of Kannapolis and Joseph Perry (Tina) of Florida.
