He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Walker Simmons and Ida Janelle Anthony Simmons. He is survived by: his pet Taz; his wife Louise Lambirth Simmons; his daughters, Rena Edwards (Terry) of Concord, Lisa Duganne (Tommy) of Salisbury and Donna Beatty (Mitchell) of Concord; and his brothers, Mike and Tony Simmons.
