He is survived by: his wife Debra "Debbie" Dawn Shipman Helms; his daughter Ashlyn "Nikki" Helms-Cope (Jennifer) of Mocksville; his siblings, Sherry Barbee (Steve) of Oakboro, Debbie Little (Mike) of Oakboro and Danny Helms (Terri) of Monroe; his granddaughters, Jocelyn Shipman, Lacey Shipman and PawPaw; and his pet Kojo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
