With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Christine Smith Tucker (Kannapolis, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 16, 2025 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her mother Dessie Mills Smith; her husband Charles Lewis Tucker, Sr.; and her in-laws, Frances, Bud Walls, Joyce and Sid Doby.
She is survived by: her siblings, Linda Lowe (Richard), Jeanette Eagle, Kenneth Smith, Kermit Smith, Edsel Smith (Frances) of Kannapolis, Annie Gaye Jordan of Hartsville, SC and Josephine Rollings of Greer, SC; her in-laws, Wallace and Thelma Tucker of Kannapolis; and her children, Debbie Tucker, Charles Tucker (Kathy) of Kannapolis, Frankie Tucker (Kathy) of Salisbury, Mary Hatley (Matt) of Norwood and Bonita Milholland (Tony) of Lincolnton. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendar Whitley's Funeral Home (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM.
