It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlie Long (Kannapolis, North Carolina), who passed away on January 24, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Clement Long and Hepsia Barwick Long. He is survived by: his wife Melba Frances Everhart Long; his children, David Glenn Overcash of Mooresville, Lisa Barwick Taylor of Turkey, Kelly Michelle Locklear (Larry) of Kannapolis, Charlie Vance Long of Humble, TX and William Clement Long (Brandi) of Rockwell; and his sisters, Joyce Muriel Hatcher (Ralph) of Clinton and Linda Phyllis Baggerley of Clinton. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
