She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Winecoff and Lillian Brantley Winecoff; and her son Jason Carpenter. She is survived by: her children, William Ralph Carpenter, Jeffrey Carpenter, Crystal Carpenter Lear and Angelina Carpenter. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Concord Church of the Nazarene FBO the youth and children's programs.
