She was predeceased by: her father Paul Russell; and her sister Shirley Russell Blackwelder. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Garver; her children, Scott Garver (Donna) and Teka Hyatt (David); her granddaughters, Olivia Groves (Brian) and Madeline Groves (Logan); and her great grandchildren, Boone, Annie, Davy, Clark and Pearl.
She was instrumental in originating an annual church craft fair for many, many years where all the funds that were raised were donated to a local children's charity.
