He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Moore and Ethel Shaw Moore; and his son Desi Moore. He is survived by: his wife Betty Puntch Moore; his daughters, Penny Black (David) and Patti Stodghill (Mark); his grandchildren, Davy Black (Amber), Carly Pruitt (Zach), Mark M. Stodghill and Jack Stodghill; and his great grandchildren, Weston, Isla Black, Kate and Max Pruitt.
