He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Barnhardt and Clarence Barnhardt of Kannapolis. He is survived by: his wife Myla; his children, Amanda and Ross; his brother John Barnhardt; his sister-in-law Lisa; his mother-in-law Dottie Herlocker; and his brother-in-law Tim Herlocker.
He also worked in human resources at Fieldcrest/Cannon and served as the secretary of the Fieldcrest Foundation.
