She was predeceased by: her parents, John Pruitt Carter and Nora Melton Carter; and her brother JP Carter of Kannapolis. She is survived by: her children, Julie Speas (Eric) of Lexington, NC and Chris Wilson of Apex, NC; her grandchildren, Erica Hauser (Michael) of Belmont, NC, Ryan Speas of Winston-Salem, NC and Anna D'Amour of Charlotte, NC; her great grandchildren, Lucy Rae and Andie Elizabeth Hauser; and her brother Charles Carter (Rhoda) of Kannapolis.
