He was predeceased by: his wife Sherry Goodman Hall; and his sister Brenda. He is survived by: his children, Mary Beth Anderson (David) of Salisbury, NC and Paul Goodman of Faith, NC; his grandchildren, Katie Ann Gorman, Alyssa Marie Jones, Mahayla Jade Goodman, Anthony Vernon Jones Jr. and Camron James Goodman; and his pets, Bubba, Dixie and Precious. He is also survived by 4 brothers and a sister.
