He was predeceased by: his parents, Conley Moore and Nellie Goodnight; and his wife Vivian Louise Goodnight. He is survived by: his son Christopher "Chris" Goodnight; and his sister Linda Hodge.

Memorials may be made to Ebenezer Lutheran Church.
