She was predeceased by: her husband Gene Louis Flake; her daughter Elizabeth Flake; and her siblings, Daisy Ford, David Jones, Jr. and Willie Jones.
She is survived by: her sons, Ernest E. Flake (Jewel) of Concord, Eric J. Flake, Gene L. Flake, Jr. (Olesia) of Kannapolis and Kenneth L. Flake; her siblings, Richard Jones of Concord and Vera Jackson of Huntersville; and her siblings-in-law, Bobby Flake of Detroit, MI, Ida Mae Caldwell of Kannapolis and Dorothy Anderson of Detroit, MI. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: 15 great-grandchildren.
