He was predeceased by: his parents, G. F. Measmer and Sudie Key Measmer; and his siblings, Edna Sherrill, Frances Kluttz and David Measmer.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Measmer; his sons, Jeff Measmer (Donna) of Concord and Robbie Measmer (Jane) of China Grove; and his sister Jo Hartsoe of Kannapolis. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
