He is survived by: his wife Gloria Steele; his daughters, Sylvia Hainey, Tammie Steele and Teresa Steele Caldwell; his grandchildren, Timothy Steele, Tracy Caldwell, Tashonda Caldwell, Sequita Steele, Tynisha Caldwell and Demetrius Steele; his great grandchildren, Dalaunte Caldwell, Joshua Caldwell, Raven Caldwell, Bryson Johnson, Brionna Schler, Elijah Stirewalt, Ti'meyah Steele and Justice Pitts; and his sister Dorothy Steele Smith. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
