He is survived by: his wife Barbara Childress Carter; his son Chad Warren Carter (Jaclyn); his grandchildren, Georgia Helen Carter and Conroy Watson Carter of Ridgewood, NJ; his siblings, Tony Wayne Carter, Belinda Phillips (Ross) of Concord and Pamela Helms (Jerry) of Concord; and his friend Ann Kirk Wensil.
