He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfonso Sellari and Nicoletta Sellari; and his siblings, Nancy and Alfonso, Jr. (Faye). He is survived by: his wife Doris Plaster of Kannapolis; his children, Gary Sellari (Cyndy), Scott Sellari, Anthony Sellari, Nicci Fry (Phil) and Dodi Sellari; and his brothers, Bobby Sellari (Patti) and Tommy Sellari (Sylvia). He is also survived by His seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; seven nephews and five nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Enoch Lutheran Church, 701 Campbell Avenue, Kannapolis, NC 28081.

“Dear Doris and family, I was part of Coach Sellari's Wadesboro High School basketball team in 1956, 57 and 58. He coached this group of young men from a small high school to believe we could play with the big boys and then took us to Charlotte to prove it. It was a life-lesson that became a foundational piece in my own journey that took me to Atlanta, Raleigh, Boston and New Bern. For me that is the mission of a great coach. I send my love to you knowing he travels on in me. Lloyd Griffith”
