He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Morris and Allene McClintock Hyatt; his grandparents, Jesse Cebron and Laura Jane Stone Hyatt; and his grandson Trevor Wayne Hyatt.

He is survived by: his wife Linda McBride Hyatt; his children, Wendy Denny and Wayne Hyatt, Jr.; his grandchildren, Taylor Hyatt Wilson (Daniel), Seth Hyatt (Amber), Anderson Hyatt, Mackenzie Owens and Hannah Owens; and his great grandchildren, Keelii Wilson and Lila Wilson.
