He was predeceased by: his parents, Worth Kirkman and Pearl Allred Kirkman; his brothers, Worth Kirkman, Jr. and Colvin Kirkman; and his stepbrothers, Bud Thomas, Howard Thomas, Homer Thomas, Dean Millikan and Jim Millikan.

He is survived by: his wife Louise Bowman Kirkman; his children, Shannon Bondurant, Moniticia Weisner, Cyress Hall (Lewis) and Rodney Kirkman; his granddaughters, Brandi Laroche (Jimmy) and Meghan Hall; his great grandchild Jordan Laroche; and his siblings, Gaynell Yow, Louise Routh and Ronnie Kirkman.
