It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven Dean Hemphill (Julian, North Carolina), who passed away on January 23, 2021, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Opal Sheppard Hemphill; and his brothers, Brad Hemphill and Michael Hemphill. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Smith Hemphill; his sons, Seth Austin Hemphill (Tiffany) and Jordan Michael Hemphill; his father Walter Clarence Hemphill; and his sisters, Renee Martin and Vanessa Ann Hemphill.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that contributions be made to Pleasant Hill Christian Church, 1712 Pleasant Hill-Liberty Road, Liberty, NC 27298 which is where he and Dawn were married.
