She was predeceased by: her parents, Riley Vastine and Naomi McCulloch Brown; and her husband John H. Phipps, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Harden Phipps (Harriett), Ellen Robinson (David, Jr.) and Amanda Levens (Alan); her sisters, Merle Reid, Georgie Isley and Faye Wall; and her grandchildren, Ashley Phipps, Sara Santoso (David), David Robinson, III (Janie), Katie Robinson, John Robinson (Marley), Anna Robinson, Cole Levens (Shannon), Patti Harden (Grant) and Kristen Levens. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
