It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Laster Smith (Jonesville, North Carolina), who passed away on June 16, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Collie Mickle Laster; her siblings, Mae Templeton, Martin Laster, Marvin Junior Cook, Joe Issacs and Roger Smith; her son Ronald Keith Cook; her granddaughter Melissa Poindexter; and her son-in-law Don Ruth.
She is survived by: her children, Marvin Donald Cook (Brenda) of Jonesville and Sharon Ruth of Jonesville; her brother Clyde Laster (Gladys) of Kernersville; and her daughter-in-law Libby Cook of Jonesville. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, also several loving nieces and nephews.
