He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Wesley and Ruth Marlowe Houston, Sr.; and his brothers, Don Wesley Houston, Jr., Billy Ray Houston and Jerry Eugene Houston.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Smith Houston; and his siblings, Ronnie Houston (Beverly) of Statesville, Richard Houston of Statesville, Tommy Joe Houston (Charlie) of Elkin, Peggy Blackburn (Rickie) of Elkin, Linda Scott (Gary) of Elkin, Sherry Richardson of Elkin and Wanda Kay Mull of Gastonia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, 375 Kings Highway North, Cherry Hill, New Jersey 08034.
