He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Monroe Newman and Pauline Durham Newman; his wife Becky Hemric Newman; his son Robert Newman; and his siblings, Becky Chappell, Bobbie Casstevens and Robert Newman.
He is survived by: his daughter Mamie Holbrook; his stepdaughters, Robin Minton (Jackie) and Melissa White (Brent); his grandchildren, Layken Holbrook, Dillon Holbrook and Jade Tate (Andrew); and his sister Vickie Adams (Donnie).
