He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Carver and Lear Fox Carver; his former wife Cara Olena Carver; and his siblings, Faye Sheppard, Pearl Hicks, Lois Lusk, Hazel Gwyn and Howard Carver.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Ann Carver; his daughter Pam English (Ricky) of Newland, NC; his stepdaughter Lisa Guinn (Ned) of Linville Falls, NC; his sons, Russell Carver (Nancy) of Elk Park, NC and Claude Carver (Karen) of Newland, NC; his siblings, Carol Millwood of Marion, NC, Junior Carver (Debbie) of Marion, NC and Stanley Carver (Janie) of Marion, NC; his grandchildren, John Adam Carver, Josh Carver, Emma Lee Carver, Porter Thomas Carver, Jordan English, Brandon English, Nyoka Potter, Rylie Daniels and Colby Guinn; and his great grandchildren, Justin, Austin, Kinsley, Sawyer, Laiken and Bryce.
