It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Simone Avery (Jefferson, North Carolina), born in Berkshire, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 11, 2019, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon McClain and Lucia Roseanna Mercier Johnson; and her sister Mae Mercier Cormier. She is survived by: her husband John Avery; her children, Scott Edward Avery (Lisa) and Brenda Avery Carroll; and her grandchildren, Andrew, Jordan, Brooklyn, Madison Avery, Julia and John Carroll.
