With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sara Catherine Davis Yates of Jefferson, North Carolina, who passed away on April 15, 2024 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Lawrence Davis, Sr. and Georgia Oliver Davis; and her husband James "Max" Yates. She is survived by: her brothers, Sam Davis, Jr. and Robert Davis; her daughters, Allison Yates Jones (Doug) of Smithfield, NC, Cynthia Yates Coldiron of Jefferson and Holly Yates Parks (Shawn) of Jefferson; her brother Hobie Davis (Lora) of West Jefferson; her grandchildren, Ross Yates Summey, Barrett Wayne Summey, James Wade Jones and Ayden Max Parks; and her great grandchildren, Bryson Andrew Summey and Max Yates Summey. She is also survived by in-laws, she considered sisters and brothers, as well as several nieces and nephews.
