She was predeceased by: her parents, Shubal Vance Alexander and Myrtle Ballou Alexander of Crumpler; her husband Joseph Paul Miller; her siblings, Hoke, Delphine Capps (Jim), Sally Waddell (Dwight), Dorothy Blevins (Dale) and Edith Lawson (Jack); her grandson Michael Ryan Miller; and her daughter-in-law Ava Bare Miller.
She is survived by: her sons, Matthew Shubal Miller (Lois) of Wilkesboro and Michael Paul Miller of Harmony; her grandchildren, Jonathan Miller (Brittany), Brittney Miller Pierce and Tyler Miller-Bost (Nick); and her great grandchildren, Kennedy, Karrington, Briggs, Rivers and William.
